ALPHA COURSE: WEEK 4

毎週木曜日はアルファコースがあります！ We have Alpha on every Thursday night!!!

アルファコースとは、キリスト教入門のためのコースです。リラックスした雰囲気の中でみんなで一緒にごはんを食べながら話をきいて、グループで話し合います。
Alpha is an opportunity for anyone to explore the Christian faith in easy-to understand and relaxed manner. We have dinner together and listen to the message and discuss in groups.

先週から新しいことを始めました。。。。それは
From last week we started new thing, which is.................

ワーシップ！ Worship time!!!!

ワーシップとは、神様を賛美することです。私たちは毎週チャーチで歌を歌って神様を元気欲賛美しています。このたびアルファでもぜひやろうということになって、トークの前に１曲歌うことにしました！
We worship the Lord singing songs. We decided to sing 1 song before the alpha talk starts.

先週歌ったのは、チャーチでもおなじみ、"Salvation Is Here"
We sang "Salvation Is Here", often singing at church.

普段フルバンドで聞きなれている曲も、ギター１本になるとまた雰囲気が変わります！これがまた、味があっていいんだな～～

ちなみにこの日のごはんは、ＡＬＰＨＡのＰでもある、Pasta（パスタ）でした☆
By the way that night's dinner was PASTA :) (ALPHA's P is taken from Pasta.)

前回のアルファでもそうだったんだけど、そろそろみんながなじみ始めて、距離が近くなってくるんです。毎週共にごはんを食べ、学ぶので特別な絆ができていきます。
As we more spend time together, more we get to know each other. I see people getting confortable and building special relationship week by week.

ディスカッションのグループでも、はじめの頃よりは打ち解けている感じ♪
Even in discussion group, they get more confotable as well :)

ALPHA COURSE: WEEK 3

英語と日本語のバイリンガルアルファ、第３週目です
We had Alpha Course Week 3 last Thursday!!!

まずはこのビデオを観てください☆（このブログでは何度か紹介しているけど、前回のアルファでもこのビデオを観たので載せます）
I want to share you this video again in the beginning ;)

このビデオでは人が生まれて死ぬまでの一生をコミカルに描いています。この世に生を受け、子供から大人へと成長し、自分の家庭を持ち、やがてこの世での時間が終わる。
This video discribes our lives in funny way. We born in this world, grow up, become an adult, have own family and finish our time in the world.

お墓に入って、この世の時間を全うして、それで終わり？！それが、人生？
We end up our time in this world, and go to doom, and that's it?!?! Is there more life than this??

いや、違います！YES WE HAVE MORE LIFE THAN THIS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

私たちには、肉体が滅びたあとも永遠に続く命を与えられています。
We are promised that we have an eternal life that continues even after our body die.

だれに？どうやって？？
Who gave that promise? How does the eternal life come??

その問いかけの答えを見つけ出す場がアルファなのです。
You'll find out the answer through Alpha.

今回のトークは、サマーのリードといずみの通訳で行われました！
This week's alpha talk was led by Summer, with Izumi's translation.

アルファコースでは、私たちの本来の目的、神様と生きる人生とは一体どんな人生なのかを学ぶだけではなく、日々感じている疑問を解消するための場でもあります！
We take the Alpha Course for not only to know/learn what's the true meanings of our lives to live with God. It's also the time to ask people of our questions coming from our daily lives.

ティータイムに出てきたバナナケーキ いずみが作ってくれました
Banana Cake was served at Tea time :) Izumi's hand-made ;)

トークを聞いた後には、何人かのグループに分かれてディスカッションする時間があります。
After the alpha talk, we sprit into some groups and discuss how they felt or how they thought from the talk.

全てのグループにはリーダーがいて、リーダーに質問したいこと、また自分の考えなどを自由にシェアすることができます。これも、英語、日本語に分かれていて、自分の話しやすいほうの言葉を選ぶことができます。
Each groups have leaders, and we can feel free to ask whatever they want to solve their questions. You can choose language that you speak, English or Japanese.

ALPHA COURSE: WEEK 2

みなさん！！今日はアルファの日です～！
Hi everyone!!! Today we have the Alpha Course!!!

ジーザスライフハウスがアルファコースをサポートするのは、今回が２回目！前回は、英語のみで、主に西洋人向けに行われていました。
This is the second time for Jesus Lifehouse to surpport Alpha. Last time we had only in English, the main target was Westerners.

実は昨シーズン中ずっと、たくさんの日本人から『日本語でも開催してほしい！』との強い要望がありました！
Actually, we've been hearing from many Japanese that they want to attend the Alpha Course in Japanese!!

また私たちもたくさんの日本人に来てもらいたいという思いから、今シーズンからは日英のバイリンガルで行われています！！
Also, the Alpha Course team was hoping to have more Japanese to come, so we started in bilingual, both English and Japanese!!!!

実際参加した人の声を聞くと『前回から気になっていたけど、日本語ではなかったのであきらめていた。今回参加できてうれしい』とのこと☆
I heard some feedbacks from the atendees.....many of them said, "I was quite curious about the Alpha Course but I couldn't come because it was held only in English. I'm happy to have Japanese translation so that I can keep coming :)"

アルファの魅力といったら、アットホームな雰囲気と、おいしい食事・・・（笑）
Alpha Course have many fascinations....one of them is good atmosphere and delicious meal... ;P

仕事・学校帰りでおなかペコペコなわたしたちを迎えてくれるのは・・

Delicious and gourgeous dinner with love :)))

アルファチームのみんなが協力して交代で作っています
We have a kitchen team and people take turns for cooking meals.

みんな真剣・・！でも楽しんでやってます♪
Everyone is so serious....but having fun ;)

今回の料理長は、ヒロさん（写真奥）！雰囲気がプロだった！！！
Hiro (a guy at the back) led the kitchen team for the last wek!!!! He looked so professional!!!

本日のメニューは、チリポテトとフレッシュサラダ☆
The manu was Chili Poteto and Frash Salad

食後のデザートもでます☆
After meal deserts are served too!!!

バレンタインデーだったので、チョコレートとチョコブラウニー
For it was St Valentine's Day, we had delicious chocolates and some chocolate brownies :)

イエス様が人々と食事を共にし距離を縮めていったように、それまで話したことのなかったみんながアルファを通して出会い、食事を共にしながら交流を深めていってもらいたい！だからアルファは食事の時間を大切にします
Jesus used to share meals with people and that was a way to create intimacy...We lay great stress on the time for meal because we want you to create intimacy with people who you've never (or less) talked to...

アルファチームは、みんなによい時間を過ごしてもらいたいので、私たちのできる最大限のおもてなしをしています☆
Our Alpha team tries their best to treat you because we want everyone to have great time and feel confortable!

前回と違った試みをしているのは、ビデオではなくてライブトークをしていること！毎回違うスピーカーと通訳者が英語と日本語で交互に話してくれます！
One thing we do something different is running live talk instead of the alpha video. Every each time we have different speakers and translators!!

先週のスピーカーは、韓国系アメリカ人のジョン！とても話し上手です！通訳はＪＬＨでおなじみの、いずみ！
Last week's speaker was John. He's American, but originally from Korea!! He's an awesome communicater!!! Izumi, who is famous as a translator of JLH trasnlated for the last week as well!!

写真を見てわかるように、通訳者もメッセンジャーと全く同じように前に立って話します。だから、英語がわかんなくても全く気負いすることがないんです！
As you can see from the photo, translator stays at the same place as the speaker, so that you don't feel like "second-language" even while you are listening to the translator.

昨日は、アルファコースがありました！ We had the Alpha Course last night!!!

アルファコースとは。
アルファはイギリスの聖トリニティ・ブロンプトン教会から全世界に始まった、教会に行ったことのない人や新しくクリスチャンになった人たちのために作られた、リラックスした雰囲気の中で食事をしながらキリスト教についてビデオを観て、グループで話し合うコースです。

What's the Alpha Course?
The Alpha Course is an oppourtunity for anyone to explore the Christian faith in easy-to-understand and relaxed manner. More than 9million people worldwide have completed the Alpha Course.

アルファ（ALPHA） には、こんな意味があります。 ALPHA is short for...

A= Anyone interested ・・興味のあるかたはどなたでも！
L= Learning and Laughter ・・聖書の学びと笑い声が！
P= Pasta ・・パスタ（食事）を共にしましょう！
H= Helping one another ・・互いに助け合いましょう！
A= Ask anything ・・どんなことでも聞いてくださいね！

このブログでもずっと書いてきたように、私は去年の秋のコースに参加しました。
If you have read my previous post, as you know, I attended the last Alpha Course.

前回は、ニッキー・ガンベル牧師がプリーチしているビデオ（英語のみ）を観たのですが、今回はアルファのチームによるライブトーク。これは初の試みでした！
Last time, we watched a video Nicky Gumbel preaching (only English of course). But this time, we did live talk for the first time.

ジョンによるアナウンスメントからスタート！
Starting from the announcement by John.

ライブトークの実現によって叶ったのは、アルファコースのバイリンガル化！日本語の導入によって、前回見送らざるをえなかった人たちが参加できるようになりました☆
We could organize the Alpha Course in both English and Japanese this time!! That means we could make an oppotunity for Japanese, especially who understand only their languages to come!

Tonight's speaker: Hiro, Interpreter: Summer

今週は初回ということもあって、少し緊張モードの人もいたかな。。それでもディナータイムが始まると、みんなすぐにうちとけた様子（＾＾）
Because this is the first time for winter 2008, some people looked a bit nervous.....yet since the dinner time has started, everyone started enjoying the atomsphere!!

みんなで仲良く♪ We soon became friends:)

私たちが予想していた以上にたくさんの人が来てくれて、いすが足りなくなるというハプニングも・・！一番ドキドキしてたのはスタッフ・チームのほうだったかも？！
We were so happy to have more people than we expected!!! We didn't have enough chairs so some people had to stand up while the alpha talk time....(sorry!!!) Maybe the staffs were more nervous than the attendee....? :P

立ちながら聞く人もでるくらいたくさん集まりました！
The room was full of people!! Some people had to stand up for the session!

約３０分話を聞いたら、グループに分かれてディスカッションタイムに入ります。ここでは、話を聞いて感じたこと、疑問などを自由にシェアします。
After we listened to the alpha talk for 30 minutes, move on to the disscusion time forming a circle. Here, we can share yourself (how you feel). If we have some questions, we can ask your leader.

またアルファコースレポ書いていくので（前回とは違った形でね！）、楽しみにしててください～～！

ALPHA COURSE in BILINGUAL!!

みなさんにおしらせがあります～～！！ I have an announcement!!!

去年の秋にJLHで始めて行われたアルファコースが、来月からまた始まります！！！
The Alpha Cource is going to start again from Febrary!!!!

しかも、今回は完全バイリンガルです！
This time, we will have Japanese translation!!!!

前回から興味を持っていたけれど、英語がわからないので断念していた人、忙しくて時間の都合が合わなかった人、今回はチャンスですよ～！
So this is a great oppourtinity for those who understand only Japanese, or who have been busy and couldn't make time for the last session.

アルファコースでは、キリスト教やクリスチャンライフについて簡単でわかりやすくお話してくれるから、特にまだ神様のことを知らない人や、クリスチャンになって間もない人におすすめ！日ごろ抱えているいろんな疑問を解決するよい時間になると思いますー！！
Alpha Course will be an great oppourtunity to know/ask about what the Christianity is or how the Christian life is. If you have never heard of God of you are a new believer, I strongly recommend you to come and join us!!!

２月７日から１０週間（約２ヶ月半）、毎週木曜日の夜７時半から９時半に行われます！場所は前回行われたところと同じ、Homat Viscontの２９Fです！
Every Thursday night starting from Febrary 7th, 7:30 - 9:30pm for 10 weeks. We will meet on the 29th floor at Homat Viscont where we had last time!!

こんな夜景をみながら行われます！ You'll see this view as you come.
